You are my go to guy for mountain flying! Before Cleo and I take our westbound trip, we’re visiting you first. Thanks for posting on the community side of AV. We appreciate it. As we progress, this section will get better and better with lots of good pictures, info and discussion. Hope you and Coryee had a good time up there. Looks beautiful!

Met the man at OSH that’s rebuilding THAT Staggerwing… in New Zealand. NZ has a thriving GA community. They plan to have a mock-up of the crazy machine that hauled the airplane around. It was to be a vehicle combo to explore Antarctica. Pretty much everything went wrong with that wild plan. But is showcases how ideas become reality, and even in failure, many good things are developed no one could possibly predict.

Man, that looks good. I like that color a lot more than I thought I would.

I saw this very unique airplane recently at Mid-America Flight Museum in Mt. Pleasant, TX. It’s made of stainless steel!

You picked a HOT day! Way to go! I’ll bet it was fun and rewarding in spite of the heat. Keep current and enjoy the flying!

Hey Glenn. Nice to have you aboard! We’re working on streamlining the community board, but in the meantime, keep posting, please! Yout Super Cub model is cool. I’m completing a rebuild of one right now. I expect it will fly in a month or two. I’ll definitely post some pictures for you. Good luck on your PPL. Let us know how it goes.

Me either. A real piece of history. The last of the fabric wing executive transports. Aluminum ruled after this era.
