Me109 is really rare especially with the D-Benz engine. I think there are more running around that are the Spanish variant still running around.

They are really small airframes and you can really see the lineage from the touring Me-108 they were developed from.

I agree. It is still one of my favorite mornings. Nice hangar, fun people, prepping an airplane we had never flown to go on an adventure.

Cockpit of a Curtiss Robin. Wrongway Corrigan crossed the Atlantic in a highly modified Robin.
The cockpit in a standard Robin is very close to what Lindbergh had in the Spirit of St Louis.
